Hailing from Boston, MA, Commander Brown enlisted in November 1993 under delayed entry and reported to Basic Training in February 1994. He completed Basic Training in April 1994 at RTC, Great Lakes, IL, and then shifted to NTC for Seaman Apprenticeship training. In May 1994, he reported to USS DIXON (AS 37), homeported in Point Loma, CA, where he served in 3rd Division in the Deck Department.

Command Master Chief Tommy Chavira

CMDCM Tommy Chavira enlisted in the Navy from Houston, Texas, on May 13, 2003 and completed recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill., followed by Seaman Apprentice “A” School. He earned an associate degree in food science from the Culinary Arts Institute of Houston and is qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.

Captain Ray Glenn is a native of Humboldt, Tennessee and enlisted in the Navy in 1992. After Recruit Training, he attended both Naval Nuclear Field “A” School and Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida. From there he went to his first sea tour aboard USS Frank Cable (AS 40). While onboard Glenn was selected for the Enlisted Commissioning Program and subsequently received his commission through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Captain Bryan S. “Barbie” Dahlquist is a native of Chantilly, Virginia. He was commissioned in 2002 and designated a Naval Flight Officer (NFO) in 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Information Systems from the James Madison University and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College (USNWC). Additionally, he is a graduate of the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS).

A native of Charleston, South Carolina enlisted in the Navy in June 2007. He attended boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, he reported to Nuclear Field “A” School in Goose Creek, South Carolina. He completed Nuclear Electrician’s Mate “A” School, but was later reassigned to Basic Enlisted Submarine School in Groton, CT. He then completed Submarine Electronics and Computer Field apprenticeship training and was re-rated to a Navigation Electronics Technician.

Dr. Alexander K. Gray is the Installation Executive Director (IED) for Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story. He serves as the CO’s Senior Civilian, principal advisor on matters of Base Operating Support (BOS), Shore Installation Management (SIM) and program management readiness integration. As the Executive Director, Dr. Gray serves as the senior financial manager and advisor to the CO on financial transactions and program execution for the command’s budget. He monitors program performance management, data collection, trend analysis, and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Dr. Gray articulates analysis on impacts of resource and manning changes to readiness and further develops risk assessments and courses of action integrating all program lines.

Golden is a native of Craig, Colorado, He enlisted in the Navy in August 1988 and attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois and attended Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut. He was commissioned through the Enlisted Commissioning Program (ECP) in 2000 after earning his Bachelor of Science from University of Washington.

Commander Pecci is a native of Bath, Maine. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1993 and was commissioned an Ensign, under the Limited Duty Officer Program in 2005. His enlisted assignments included NSA Naples Italy, USS BELLEAU WOOD (LHA-3) forward deployed to Sasebo, Japan, Naval Air Station Sigonella and Naval Air Station Pensacola, where he was promoted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

CMDCM (SW) Thompson is a native of Okinawa, Japan. He graduated from Recruit training and Gas Turbine System “A” school in 1996. Master Chief Thompson served on USS Comte De Grasse (DD-974) July 1997 until June 1998. His follow-on tour was USS Deyo (DD 989) June 1998 to November 2003. While onboard USS Deyo he earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist insignia and his Engineering Officer of the Watch qualification. Additionally, he was advanced to Petty Officer First Class and served as the Leading Petty Officer for Main Propulsion Division.
