On Base Education

Navy College Learning Program (NCLP) - Courses in English, mathematics, and reading at no cost to the service member. These courses fulfill the educational requirements needed to retake the ASVAB exam. Contact Navy College Office for more information. Requires command approval, 30 day instructor-based program.

Navy College Learning Center (NCLC) - A computerized learning center featuring PLATO courseware in English, math, reading, advanced math, SAT/ACT preparation, CLEP preparation, job skills, and parenting. This program meets the requirements to retake the ASVAB. Active duty, retirees, reservists, and adult family members are eligible to participate. Located in Building IAA, second deck. Day, evening, and weekend hours allows you to design your own flexible schedule. (757) 451-1134.

The High School Completion Program - This program allows individuals to complete their high school diploma. Interested students should contact Navy College office.

On Base Schedules - To better serve our special needs, programs and courses on the base are offered in accelerated terms, varying in length from 8 week to 16 week semesters. Some of the schools offer special weekend programs. All of the undergraduate institutions offer 8 to 9 week terms, five times per year. Accelerated graduate programs are offered in 9 to 10 week cycles. Check with the institution for specific course schedule and registration information. Contact the school of your choice for current class schedules.
