Visit the Airship Hindenburg memorial commemorating the tragedy on 6 May 1937. One of the last Airship “Blimp” hangars, Hangar One, is located on Lakehurst; it is listed as a Historical Building. Hangars 5 & 6 are the world’s largest single arch structures

Outdoor Recreation: C-732-323-2583, golfing, biking, boating, fishing and hunting are all available. Lakehurst conservation area is nearby as well.

Places to Eat on base: Ritchey’s Cyber Café located in Bldg. 123, in the Base Gym, C-732-323-4402. All American Grill Bldg. 333, Mon-Fri 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. C-732-323-1447. Both are within walking distance.
