CMDCM(AW/SW/IW) Carlito P. Chua

Command Master Chief Carlito Chua – a native of Porterville, California – embarked on his Naval career in June 2007 at Recruit Training Command in Chicago, Illinois. He completed Aviation Machinist Mate ‘A’ school in Lemoore, Calif., and has served in various sea and shore assignments throughout his career.


His notable sea duty assignments include the decommissioned USS Tarawa (LHA 1) and the pre-commissioned USS Makin Island (LHD 8), where he served from April 2008 to March 2013 as the powerplants leading petty officer and quality assurance representative. He later served aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) from May 2017 to September 2021, taking on roles such as production control supervisor and department leading chief petty officer. During this time, he completed five deployments in the Indo-Pacific region, including two during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Chua’s shore assignments included production control leading petty officer and aviation life support system leading chief petty officer at Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment Atsugi, Japan, from April 2014 to May 2017; and as production control supervisor and ground support equipment leading chief petty officer at Fleet Readiness Center Northwest, from October 2021 to September 2023.


In 2024, he was selected for the command senior enlisted leader program and took on the role of command senior chief for Electronic Attack Squadron 134. Under his leadership, the squadron successfully completed 10 movements during their deployment in the Indo-Pacific area of operations.


Currently, he serves as the command master chief of Naval Support Activity Lakehurst, N.J. – having assumed the position in January 2025.


Chua holds an associate’s degree in general studies from Central Tech College and is a graduate of the U. S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 239 - Red) and the CMC/COB Class 276.  He has earned multiple awards, including three Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medals, three Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and five Good Conduct Medals, along with various unit and campaign awards. He is also qualified in enlisted aviation warfare, enlisted surface warfare, and information dominance warfare.
