GSCS Arturo A. Isaiyas

Senior Chief Isaiyas hails from Quezon City and raised in Olongapo City, Philippines. At the age of 19, he migrated to the United States and resided in Queens, New York and Newark, New Jersey before moving to Washington where he enlisted in the United States Navy in June 2004.

Upon graduating from Recruit Training, Senior Chief Isaiyas reported for duty onboard USS Ingraham (FFG-61). While assigned the Ingraham, he, completed two TRIDENT FURY, two JTFEX, INSURV and Humanitarian Assistance in Pago Pago American Samoa in addition to that, he earned his ESWS pin and advanced to Second Class Petty Officer. 

In December 2009, Senior Chief Isaiyas reported for duty at NAVIMFAC PACNORWEST, in Bangor Washington while supporting 8 SSBN, 2 CVNs, 2 SSGNs and 5 Surface ships and earned 3 NEC’s from NAMTS Program (Valve, Pump and Hydraulics Repair Technician).

He reported to S SWOS U GLAKS and completed his Gas turbine technician (Mechanical) “C” School prior reporting to USS John S. McCain (DDG-56) which was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.

In June 2013, while stationed on the John S. McCain. Senior Chief Isaiyas advanced to Petty Officer First Class and was the division Leading Petty Officer. In September 2016 he reported to the USS Benfold (DDG-65) where he was promoted and accepted to the Chief Petty Officer ranks. During this tour, he completed multiple Western Pacific Patrols, bi-lateral exercises and 12 month DSRA.

In October 2019, Senior Chief Isaiyas reported to USS Antietam (CG54) in Yokosuka Japan as Main Propulsion Division Leading Petty Officer. During this tour, he advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer and led his team through a successful Certification Validation Inspection, MOB-A, 3-M certification and READ 3. He also completed 20-1 and 20-2 patrol.

In November 2021, Senior Chief Isaiyas reported in Naval Support Activity Saratoga Spring, New York as a Senior Enlisted Leader.

Senior Chief Isaiyas’ personal awards include four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal, five Good Conduct medal and various unit campaign and service awards.
