Command Master Chief (SW/AW/IW) Jon Crisafulli

CMDCM(SW/AW/IW) Jon Crisafulli, a native of Somerville, Massachusetts, enlisted in the United States Navy in April 1994.  Upon completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL, he reported to Naval Technical Training Center, Corry Station, Pensacola, FL where he completed Cryptologic Technician Technical “A” school.  Upon graduation, he reported for duty to Naval Security Group Detachment, Denver, CO as a CLASSIC WIZARD Operator. 
His next assignment sent him to Naval Security Group Activity, Rota, Spain as a subsurface direct support operator.  Additionally, during this tour, he completed a Mediterranean deployment onboard USS LASALLE (AGF3) while assigned to the Commander, SIXTH Fleet staff.
In July 1999, he reported for duty to Naval Technical Training Center, Corry Station, Pensacola, FL as a CTT “A” and “C” school instructor.  During his tour, he was part of the team that revised the CTT and EW “A” school curriculum prior to the CTT/EW RATING MERGER.  His next assignment was onboard the USS HUE CITY (CG 66) in Mayport, FL where he completed a FIFTH Fleet deployment conducting Maritime Interdiction Operations in the Arabian Gulf.
His follow on tour was as a Technical ELINT Analyst at SPAWAR Space Field Activity in Chantilly, VA where he conducted Testing and Evaluation of new systems.  In 2006, he was selected as the SPAWARSYSCOM Senior Enlisted Leader of the Year.  In January 2007, he reported for duty onboard USS PORT ROYAL (CG 73) in Pearl Harbor, HI as the Operations Department LCPO where he completed another deployment to the FIFTH Fleet Area of Responsibility.  In 2009 he was selected for the Command Senior Chief program and briefly reported to Navy Information Operations Command, San Diego, CA before receiving orders to USS RENTZ (FFG 46). 
Following RENTZ, he reported as Command Master Chief of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron SEVEN ONE (HSM-71) where he completed a FIFTH Fleet deployment while assigned to Carrier Air Wing NINE (CVW-9) embarked onboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-74).
He next assumed the duties as the first Command Master Chief of the Pre-Commissioning Unit of USS JOHN P. MURTHA (LPD 26) in April 2015 and successfully led her crew through acceptance, commissioning, a homeport shift from Pascagoula, Mississippi to San Diego, California and the completion of Final Contract Trials.
He served as the Command Master Chief of the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC)/Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Great Lakes from February 2018 to February 2021 prior to reporting to his most recent assignment as Command Master Chief of Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Hawaii in February 2021.
He assumed all duties and responsibilities as the Command Master Chief of Naval Station Great Lakes in August 2023.
He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class of 148 (Khaki Group) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of boat Capstone Course Class 71.  He has earned his Enlisted Surface, Aviation and Information Warfare qualifications and Master Training Specialist designation. His decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
