In 2004, Naval Support Activity Crane officially stood up as the installation command, charged with ensuring quality support allowing NSWC Crane, CAAA, and other tenant commands to remain focused on their engineering, ammunition and logistics missions. Today grown from its ordnance roots, Crane is recognized worldwide as a modern leader in diverse and technical products aimed at meeting the needs of today’s warfighter in the defense of the nation.

Naval Support Activity and Crane Army Ammunition Activity had the pleasure of showing the Hatchet Company, Washington H.S. Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Command Cadets around the activity Oct. 13.  The cadets learned about the mission to provide munitions readiness to the Joint force and met the hardworking Hoosiers from across the region who ensure our warfighters are equipped to win.

The event paired IU and Purdue University students with service members from various commands throughout Indiana.
Crane Army and Naval Support Activity Crane recently welcomed the Indiana Department of Homeland Security District 10 conference. Visitors toured different operations and discussed best practices for shared procedures including emergency management policies and logistics. IDHS District 10 covers a 12-county area in southern Indiana. The conference was hosted by the Martin County Emergency Management.
