Command Senior Chief (AW/SW) Reed, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, enlisted in the United States Navy in April 2000.  Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois he reported to Naval Air Technical Training Center, Pensacola, Florida where he completed Aviation Electrician’s Mate ‘A’ school.
 
Upon graduation, he reported for duty with Fighter Squadron Fourteen onboard the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65).  His fleet assignments include Strike Fighter Squadron 14, Strike Fighter Squadron 2 at NAS Lemoore, USS GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78), and Commander U.S. SEVENTH Fleet.  In addition, Command Senior Chief Reed completed shore assignments at Fleet Readiness Center West, NAS Lemoore, Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Pacific and Commander Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University.  Senior Chief Reed is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 221.  He has earned the Enlisted Aviation and Surface Warfare Specialist designations.
 
His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
