The CDGH combines the strengths of both in-home care and traditional center-based care. This facility is home-like and, at the same time, it provides more than one adult to supervise children and more opportunities for child socialization in large groups similar to center-based care. This program is designed to assist dependent children whose parents are single and/or dual military on shift work hours. CDGH offers daily care around the clock and offers the service member the flexibility of using 60 hours of care per week, when they need it to meet their work schedule, within a seven-day period. This program is one of a kind and is located off Hampton Boulevard next to the NSA Norfolk Child Development Center in Norfolk. Contact the CPP office for enrollment in the CDGH program (757) 444-1277. The CPP office is located at 1565 Piersey Street, in building P-4.
