History

Naval Administrative Unit (NAU) Scotia, NY was established in Scotia, NY in 1974. Following years of exemplary service, NAU Scotia moved to Saratoga Springs, NY and was renamed Naval Support Unit (NSU) Saratoga Springs, NY in 1999. On 1 October 2010 the command name was changed to Naval Support Activity.  NSA supports commands within the New York State Capital Region, and is located approximately 35 miles north of the state capital, Albany. 

Most NSA functions are located in Saratoga Springs, including Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC), Customer Service Desk (CSD), Housing Office, Personal Property Office, Navy Federal Credit Union, Navy Exchange and Commissary.  The Navy Medical/Dental Clinic is located one mile away on West Avenue and the MWR Office is located in Ballston Spa a short drive from NSA.
