History

Naval Administrative Unit (NAU) Scotia, NY was established in Scotia, NY in 1974. Following years of exemplary service, NAU Scotia moved to Saratoga Springs, NY and was renamed Naval Support Unit (NSU) Saratoga Springs, NY in 1999. On 1 October 2010 the command name was changed to Naval Support Activity.  On May 31, 2023, the facility name was changed to Naval Support Facility Saratoga Springs now aligning under Naval Subase New London which supports commands within the New York State Capital Region and is located approximately 35 miles north of the state capital, Albany. 
Most NSF functions are in Saratoga Springs, including Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC), DEERS/RAPIDS ID card Office, Housing Office, Personal Property Office, Navy Federal Credit Union, Navy Exchange and Commissary.  The Navy Medical/Dental Clinic are located one mile away on West Avenue. There is also an additional MWR Office located in Ballston Spa that is just a short drive away.
