Our mission is to liaise with deployed, forward-deployed and OCONUS commands in the expeditious processing of Sailors through administrative, transfer, discipline, and medical transition pipelines in order to support fleet requirements.

TPU Norfolk consists of four departments: Administrative Services, Operations, Maintenance and Training. Each of these departments is responsible for specific types of Sailors. CNICINST 1306.1 defines responsibility for program management and establish standardized procedures for Transient Personnel Units.

Driving to Norfolk?
Upon arrival in the Hampton Roads area, please proceed to Naval Station Norfolk, Transient Personnel Unit, Building J-50.
