Safety

The Safety and Health Office provides Naval Support Activity Philadelphia (NSAP) with a full service, comprehensive program that is governed by the Navy Occupational Safety and Health Program Manual, OPNAVINST 5100.23 series. The range of responsibilities is aligned with the duties recalled of an office that supports two distinct areas, NSAP and the Philadelphia Navy Base Annex (PNYA). This support covers diverse environments such as shore, waterfront, administrative, industrial and recreational requirements and reflects the needs from both host and tenant activities.

We are committed to the safety and health of our personnel and the protection of our facility and its resources. We will attain this by enforcing regulations and standards; providing training and education; establishing open communication and partnerships; and encouraging continual improvement in workplace safety and health.

We work in tandem with the Command to provide a pro-active, problem-solving dynamic that is mission-oriented and hands-on. We diligently foster a healthful environment that allows for a safe workplace. The Safety and Health Office is located at NSAP in Building 10, 2nd Floor. To contact us, please call 215-697-1163
